Alright, finally got ahold of the girl from class and she was able to get ahold of him. I got his number and just got off the phone with him. He's busy for the next 2 hours but will call me when he's done. Hopefully everything works out and I will have the glider tonight.

He's home. Here's his story from what I was told. The guys grandma breeds gliders and sells them at her pet store in Ardmore Oklahoma. Last Christmas she gave all of her grandkids sugar gliders!! (Double ) So this guy got two, a brother and sister pair. Well, wouldn't you believe it, 5 months later the girl got pregnant and had babies. Guess what, he never knew she was pregnant. He walked in to feed them one day and saw "two tumors on her back" so he took her to the vet and was informed...THEY WERE BABIES....*sigh* The male glider, of course, killed the babies. Then the female became 'really aggressive' and so he took her to a petstore....

Now about the little boy. His name WAS "poopStick" but Chris has informed me that we are calling him "Hercules". He has two huge bald spots on his forehead from overgrooming. I think thats the only bald spots he has but I will get a better look at him tomorrow. He is neutered (he got neutered after the sister got pregnant). He seems to be in good character. He has not crabbed ONCE.
Oh yah...the diet....he has been eating those gerber baby meat sticks..which if I remember right, are NOT good for them. I had to give him a few pieces tonight though, mixed in with some HPW and of course fruits and veggies. We'll see what he eats. Hopefully I can wean him off the meat sticks but that was the first thing he grabbed.

That's all I can think to update right now. I will take and upload pictures tomorrow after work and school!

Wow poor guy has been through a lot. We are all going to be so proud as you as soon as you get those pics uploaded so we know you aren't just pulling our legs lol.

How does he know the male killed the babies and not the female? And Im not surprised it happened. There could have been something wrong with the babies, but chances are the real reason they got eaten was because of malnutrition. Mama was probably starving.

I don't think thats missing fur on his arm. I think that's just the fur looking rough which is probably a product of the poor diet that he was on.

The guy told me he saw it happen. He saw the daddy glider pin down a baby and kill it.



So he ate pretty much all his food last night! I was thrilled. I only put a tiny bit of HPW in his bowl but he ate it all up. Tonight I will add more HPW and only one sliver of the gerber meat stick....or maybe none at all. Haven't decided yet!

Awww, Chris named him? Guess who probably won't be getting rehomed again! LOL

I like his name! He reminds me of a Hercules that I know... :-D

What a sad story Hercules has. Poor baby. Sounds like he's doing great though. No crabbing, and eating HPW on the first night is great!!. Hopefully he'll not want any of those meat sticks tonight!. Great job rescuing him.

Don't put any meat stick in tonight, he doesn't need it! Hercules will not let himself starve, I'd say just give him a full portion of HPW and fruits and veggies, and let him chow down on what he likes... and remember, his tastes will change if he doesn't eat everything.

Psst....go look....I THINK he may have already started a story in there!

I took Herc to the bathroom last night to play. His nails of course are really long though and he wasn't able to climb on the shower curtain. He's fearful of me unless he is in his pouch or something. He'll let me reach in and pet him and won't bite at me. But, when I let him out to play he is as far from me as he can get! Tonight I think I will actually set up the tent, instead of playing in the bathroom.

Anyway, here are a few pics of him in his blueberry cake! I was giving him yoggies so of course he sat still enough for a cute little photo shoot. I apologize to all my facebook friends who have to see all my pics on facebook AND on here!

He is a cutie! And I know in my heart that he is silently thanking you, he's just scared right now! You are an honest to real good person, and I'm glad that there are people like you out there!

Thank you for saving this baby. He is so cute but you can see the fear in his little face. Poor thing has really been neglected.
