I was starting to get worried... he spent days in his pouch... days and nights that is!

Well, first thing I did was switch him to BML. He loves it. Before that, I couldn't get him to eat any protein at all. Second thing, I got him a little water bowl that is too shallow for him to drown in. I've heard him use his water bottle before, but I think the ball/trap mechanism may have required too much work and may have resulted in too little water. I am going to try to find a better one. And, I think our time together is starting to pay off... he doesnt lunge or bite anymore, though he still crabs at times. This was his first night of no crying at night and I actually woke up to small, cute bark! He was climbing on the side of his cage closest to my bed!

I can definitely say that while the PVC cage isn't the most visually appealing option, the size is valuable even at this young age. I've seen him glide top to bottom... and make jumps object->object->object->bottom.





Anyway, I want to find some more toys. I am ordering a wodent wheel. I want to find some long, safe branches for him to climb on. Any suggestions in that regard?

petsmart lol or make your own i dont have the link to suz's no sew suggie toys but i just made a trampoline.. a pouch a braided rope and a beaded rope its really easy and mine love it

No, I am looking for suggestions concerning branches/wood. I've heard having branches in the cage can also help with their nails. And, of course, it provides another path for him to navigate!

I just did a little forum search and found some good info on branches.

I'm happy to hear of your progress! Some diets just aren't for certain gliders, they are just like little kids! I'm glad he is eating the BML. Ideas for toys are baby toys! Big plastic toys with holes to climb or that makes sounds seem to be a hit with my girls!

They love these branches and they smell really good too! The only problem with keeping branches in there is keeping them clean. They soak up everything and can start to smell. He looks so little! He sure is cute!

Cage looks great :) About the branches, you can go to the bird section of
pet-co/petsmart, ect. and they will have safe branches for animals. (it's actually just a perch, but it works great AND easily clips to the side of a cage!)

If you want a branch larger than whats in stores try looking up large branch bird perches online. Hope this helps! Mine love them :)
