keep the pouch out of the cage so they dont go back in. and start waking them up 15 mins earlier then what they are doing now. and keep doing 15 mins till they are back to their normal time. you or someone might think its mean to make them get up but you cant let them get lazy they need their out of cage time. just dont make them get up when the sun is out since they are nocturnal.
my boy vash is doing the same thing but thats because he has been awake in the morning instead but i have to change that since his brother rune is up a night and wants his brother to come out and play. if i put the pouch in my lap he comes right out. so try holding the pouch and talking to them till they wake up.

In my opinion, taking the pouch out of the cage should not be done. They should have the option to go back to sleep if they choose to.... How would you like it if all you wanted to do was go back to sleep but someone kept taking away your bed?

Aw my boys get up late too! I just let them sleep until they want to and they stay up until about 10 am every day.

They just have their own little sleeping schedule thats ok with me :)

They are nocturnal animals...you should probably come to terms with that. Some get up early, some don't!

i didnt mean leave it out the whole time. what i meant was take it out with them in it and just sit with the pouch in you lap and talk to them till they crawl out and then they are ready to play. i leave the cage door open so they can go back to the cage when they want and i put the pouch back in if i havent done that already. and my boys also have their tunnel they like to sleep in. but sometimes its best to take the hint that they dont want to play and just sleep.
my boys are all messed up with sleeping lol. rune is up at night while vash is getting up during the day. right now vash is up playing and he was searching everywhere for food. so i gave him so fresh veggies. the smell of food and vash playing woke rune up so he is not getting any sleep and the same thing will probably happen tonight when vash is trying to sleep lol. they are to funny. hopefully vash will his sleeping habits on his own so that they can play together.

that may be why they sleep so late! yes having them with you is good and everything but its probably loud and keeps them awake a bit.. I notice when I have mine with me all day they sleep a little later because I had been disrupting their sleep all day.

well maybe leave them home and see if that helps. it could be they are just not sleeping well in the bonding pouch. if you leave them home there will be nothing to wake them up. dont you feel better after a good night sleep without waking up during the night.
and what is with the Anonymous post. if you have something to say to me then say it without hiding.

Dont take away their pouch. A glider will ball up and sleep elsewhere if they really want to sleep.

Try lighting the area earlier this makes them believe it is day and they go to bed earlier which results in them waking earlier.

I have found that trying to wake them up earlier has the opposite effect and will cause them to wake up later.

Honestly I think that lighting the area would only have an affect if it was done with NATURAL light.

And personally,
I don't care much for the idea of attempting to alter their natural sleeping patterns.

i was told that they should get a good 7-8hrs sleep before taking them out & having them w/me.so,I've been doing that.some nites they are up earlier,it just depends on them.there are so many different circumstances, everyday is different w/mine.temperature,barometric pressure, phase of moon, moon effecting the tides on the earth(sounds ludicrous, but true)what they have been eating. are they bored?do they need better(or more)enrichment in the cage @ nite?
odwalla drinks i have started adding, they are approved on sesg forum. i give mine the protein,& the green superfood.i emptied the bottles into ice cube trays, then popped them out & put into a container,& i swap back & forth, but i don't do this every nite.if i can't find odwalla,i use naked.their is garlic in green superfood naked, but it is very minuscule,so I'm not scared to feed it. jmo
