Yeah, I've noticed that Toby (I guess since her two large bottom teeth are gone) does not stay as clean as Macy. Her tail will sometimes have a little bit of matting from food (I'm guessing) and she seems to not notice. I've observed Macy grooming Toby alot though so maybe she tries to help her. I didn't realize they use them for grooming as well. I was told that the 2 larger bottom teeth are mostly used for when they are in the wild and they scrape bark off of trees & for grabbing onto larger food portions. Toby seems to manage okay without her poor teeth b/c the last people were ONLY feeding them hard parrott food (equivalent of dog chow on size and hardness) and Toby still managed to eat it although it must have been hard for her. Poor thing.

He had one apparently at one time. I have never seen one there. There was a cinnamon colored one there once who had cataracts on his eyes and was blind but the lady that works with my mom bought one from him about a yr ago that was albino & blind. I guess that kinda goes hand in hand though doesn't it, usually albino animals are blind aren't they?

Did anyone tell you how to check to see if they are dehydrated before forcing fluids?

No but I know w/ most animals you can check the skin on the back of their necks to see how quickly it will retreat back.

Were you ever able to contact the guy who did this to your gliders and ask him why he did that?

I would definitely report him to the authorities. That was a dental procedure on a pet, pretty sure he can be brought up on charges for performing a medical procedure without a license or even a degree.

Really??? Wow that guy was DUMB!!!! And u didnt even ask him to do the teeth? U should report him or somthing! tell him u didnt want ur gliders to be in such pain! Poor little gliders....
