Hey guys,

I talked to a SUPER nice lady tonight that has a few gliders up for IMMEDIATE adoption. They are all siblings, common/standard gray. Her husband has fallen on health issues and she has a large project that she is working on that has her travelling ALL the time. These little guys will take some work...they have been handled but they are not bonded. It sounds like one of them is a touch fiesty (as is expected) I believe they are 5-8 months OOP. 3 gliders total/(2boys/1girl). She is not asking a huge rehoming fee - just wants a really good home.

Let me know if any of you are interested and I will connect the dots! We are *considering* taking one (female)...but with the level of work that I have with our little guys...I just can't take all of them. She is WAY north of us - but I am willing to help with transport to get these guys in an AWESOME home.

Let me know!

I live in South Carolina and am a veterinary assistant..I've taken care of the sick rescues no one wants. I'm looking for a pair of rescues! I'm willing to travel. My email is on my profile or you can PM me.
Thanks for posting the ad and "connecting the dots"! I'm the sure the woman as well as potential suggie parents appreciate it!

Hey Melissa,
That's AWESOME!!! What's super cool about this lady is that she lives so far north in GA that she is almost to the border of NC. It might not be that far of a drive! They do not come with a cage, so you might have to do a little shopping there. I have a smaller cage that came with our boys - but, if we get one (which I am still on the fence about), we may have to use it for quarantine and introduction. It's not tiny by any stretch...just not a good long term solution. If we don't get one, I could help you out there. My other cages have larger bar spacing and might be an issue.

I don't know how much research you have done - but do more! I had no idea what I was getting into with two fragile/frail joeys and jumped in over my head at first. It took a LOT of time and support from the guys on this forum and various SG folks to help me through...and we are still learning and by no strech even intermediate in knowledge yet. BIG TIME. Since these guys have been handled but at least one is "fiesty" - the bonding experience is going to take some work - but if you plug in and take some great advice, you can have wonderful pets. I can tell you from my personal experience that bonding with an SG that is scared to death of you takes time and your resilience will take a hit here and there...but the work pays off. I have read stories of MANY people here taking rescues and turning them around completely. You just HAVE to be up for it so they don't end up in 7 homes.

I will leave this thread open for any other people (since there are a few and she might even consider rehoming some of her others...she has 8 I think). Plus, they may also have some good advice. They usually do!

Anyhow, feel free to ping me or email me too. I am also happy to talk to you by phone.

Hey ladies - I have sent you both my phone numbers. Please give me a call ASAP. She is wanting to meet tonigh or tomorrow. Please let me know if you are interested. In addition, anyone else interested - let me know and I can send you her email and phone number. She will likely be rehoming more than these.

Thank you!
