Sorry, all I can give you is a link. Links are provided for good reason. There's usually a ton of info that can't necessarily be summarized. There's too much info and it's one of those situations where you need to research about the pros and cons and make an informed decision about whether or not to feed them:

No, I personally don't. They've had a few here and there over the years but right now, I can't remember the last time I let them have one.

I regularly feed grapes and have for 5 years. I have never had an issue with them, nor am I aware of a single documented case where grapes have been proven to contribute to any illness.

The SUGAR Group does not have any reported cases of grapes contributing to illness in all of the data that has been collected over the last 3 years. None.

I was feeding my guys grapes and the loved them, but the other day I read an article saying that there is a thought that they are related to liver failure. It was enough for me to not give them grapes again!

I also feed mine grapes sometimes. Grapes cause liver failure in dogs. Until there is a case where they can prove grapes cause harm in gliders, i will feed them occasionally.

I trust the SUGAR Group and all the data they've collected and the legwork they've put in.
I, too, feed grapes on occasion. I don't purchase them often because I myself can live without them.

After actually reading all the info, it was a decision I chose to make. I also trust, and very much respect, the SUGAR group but I still made my own choice. Everyone is free to do as they please. For the record, I personally feel like if something could be a potential risk based on what I read, I don't want to wait for something to happen. Not saying anything will happen, but I had one glider pass from something that couldn't be seen...not willing to risk another just because it hasn't been proven.

I know that are bad for dogs (rasins too). I understand that a grape now and again are ok for gliders, but not the red/purple ones. Something about a word that has an 'O' and and 'X' in it? Kind of like oxide or something? Don't know what it's all about though. There is a page of fruits/veggies that are good/bad for gliders, and at the bottom it talks about this "oxidate" or whatever that word is. There it says to use green ones IF you feed them. I'm sure someone here knows - if you don't get an answer, ask Candy about this word I'm trying to think of and what that's about. I bet she'd know.

Oxalates.

Whether you are talking about grapes or anything else, it's kind of careless to say you are going to feed them something just because you did and they seem fine. My glider that died was fine for 3 years, including the night before he died. Just because they appear fine does not mean they are and again, I'm not just talking about grapes. You could eat Doritos and Twinkies every day and be fine for quite some time. My point is you should not feed it because they appear fine after. You should feed it because you read the information offered and made an informed decision.

That was my thought exactly. My gliders did not seem to be harmed by the grapes, but then again, I can't see what is going on inside their bodies. Maybe the first 50 times I give them grapes they are fine, and then the 51st time they are not. I would rather be safe than sorry.
I'm cetainly not telling anyone else what to feed or not feed their gliders, just giving my personal opinion.

Agreed.. There are so many other options out there they're never wanting for variety, thats for sure. I see no need to risk it when there are plenty of other things out there to feed them that they happily eat. Ours have never had grapes and I see no reason why they need to.

Why are you comparing what is bad for a dog would be bad for a sugar glider is my confusion. I'm sure there are many foods I can eat that dogs can't like ummm 'grapes' but then again he's a canine and I'm a human.

Why not look into whats good and bad for animals in the same family?
