I make my popcorn at home with a little peanut oil, a hit of sea salt and kernels on my stove top in a metal bowl and lid...

Question: Can my boys have a piece or two? I'm asking because Tater (who lives up to his namesake) decided that as I was sitting down to a bowl of popcorn on the couch, that he would literally jump out of my shirt, land into the bowl and start nomming the heck out of it while Pistol looked from my shirt collar cheering him on...

Should I worry? I honestly don't think it would be an issue other than being a snack food for them that wasn't anything decent, but they seemed to really like it (well, Tater loved it and when I pulled him from the bowl he had a piece in each paw and one in his mouth because he is the picture of gluttony).

I very lightly salt my popcorn because I don't really like really salty things, so if anything, it is about as plain as you can get.

Opinions/experiences?

I know a lady who feeds popcorn as a treat but remove the husk & the kornal (sp?).

I also wouldn't give it salted simply because a friend used to have a flying squirrel...said he was late for work one day and tossed it a handful of salted peanuts only to return home to find it dead.

I'm sure a bit of salt won't hurt but if it were me and can be avoided I would do so.

Mala chowed down on the fluffy part of a piece of carmel corn the other night...she was in heaven! (Needless to say I was picking tiny pieces of carmel corn out of Zoey hind quarter fur not long after.)

Lol! Will do... I don't actually salt mine very much and I salt it when I serve. XD

I have been thinking about Tater dive-bombing the popcorn all night, and laughing. What I wanna know is did you eat the rest of the popcorn?
