What Kozi said, and the occasional piece of boiled egg, bit of deer meat or chicken, brie cheese (doesn't constipate them) - their absolute favorite, unsalted sunflower seeds, dry oat meal flakes, an apple branch with 'tunnels/grooves' carved into it that I drizzle a little ascia gum mixed with water and flavored with a drop of maple syrup, a tiny bit of tangerine/orange, home made pumpkin seeds, small piece of monkey biscuit, the list goes on!

My Skeets loves vanilla yogurt drops but won't touch the berry or cheese flavor. Lily loves all three flavors. They also love dried fruit (like above) and mealworms.

Mine won't touch a yogie to save their lives so they get Hersheys White Morsels, mealworms, unsalted sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, dried blueberries, berries & bugs from EN.... amongst other things.

Jazz answered before I could :-) I had to have the pet store order it for me. I understand they use to use it as the protien portion of their diets, so since learning that, I've giving them less often, not wanting to give too much protein.

They love it soaked in fruit juice :-) But it's messy, like giving a baby a chocolate cookie. lol

I just wanted to warn against the dangers of too many snacks. My poor Catwoman put on a lot of weight due to my giving her too many treats. I mistakenly thought that since she was addicted to her wheel, there was no way she would have a weight problem. I had forgotten that unlike Batman, she can be a glutton. :(

I am not saying don't give any snacks. Just be careful when feeding nuts. And don't be like me in thinking that treats = love. Healthy gliders = love. I hope I don't sound preachy. I just really goofed and I am ashamed and I want to spare anyone else the situation I am now in. Easier to prevent an occurance like this from happening than to fix it.

That said, I have cut out all treats for the time being and am hand feeding them parts of their dinner in a hope to fix this. And I am grateful she has always been an active glider and her love of her wheel has not changed.

Please forgive me if I have hijacked your thread. I seriously just wanted to warn you not to do as I have done.

My gliders LOVE yoggies. For the longest time they refused to eat mealworms, but then I got some Camille and they eat them like crazy. I guess they can tell quality from pet shop crap. LOL! They also love yogurt.

Ours love yoggies, Can-O-Worms mealies, Honey-Nut Cheerios, died papaya, rare pieces of orange, and honey sticks. Dd, we get the honey sticks from Exotic Nutrition with Orange Blossum Honey in them. It is a little sweeter and smells nicer. I saw that someone (not sure who)on this site made their own with a straw, honey and poured some in and folded the straw into a triangle pushing one end inside the other and let their suggies go after the honey that way. Sounds like an easier way to see if you suggies will like honey straws and just use straws you probably have and honey you may already have too.
Cupcake, one word of advice, go easy on the treats or you could end up with some very chunky gliders. Hopefully you'll find them something out of all these ideas!

I you are looking for live mealworms, try Camille's Vita Mealies online, canned, go to Petco and get the Zoo-Med Can-O-Worms. Crickets, maybe Petco or PetSmart that they sell for reptiles.

I feed a lot of treats but its always in moderation and for the most part I use these treats to encourage foraging so they do have to work a little.
Acacia Powder with water
Honey Sticks
Agave Nectar
Maple Syrup
Oats
Nuts and Seeds
Chicken
Egg
Dried fruits and Vegetables
Crickets served in a mesh hamper for hunting
Mealworms
Other bugs, phoenix worms, moths, grasshoppers, etc.
Yogurt Drops
Organic Peanut Butter
