Widget gets neutered tomorrow.
I'm closing the hole that my beebeez use to get from top to lower level..To seperate them for a day or so, after his surgery..They can still interact, but she shouldn't be able to groom his incision.
I realize he should take it easy for a couple days, but does that include NO wheel?..I have two, so I can put one in w/ each glider..He is generally a bundle of streaking energy at night, and I'd hate for him to get bored, and pick.
Thanks for answers!

I personally let Chester keep the wheel when I neutered him. I know there are stories saying running on the wheel will open stitches. However, I read on Suz's website that that is the exception, not the rule. It's really a personal choice... but in MY experience, Chester had his wheel and he was just fine.

Good luck on the neuter!!!!

Uh, yes wheel. He needs the stimulation and it shouldn't hurt him. You know what they say about idle hands? I'm sure same goes for teeth.

Of my 4 boys, only 1 was an issue and I think the vet didnt use enough glue to completely close the incision by accident. It was laser done so when it opened it didnt bleed, but I could see inside his body. Really freaked me out! The other three went right back in to the colony the day they got home with no problems (including wheels).

I really think issues after neuter are the exception and not the rule.
