Baby eucs! :D I started them in a paper towel, in a zip lock, that's why they're smushy looking. LOL. Hopefully they'll keep growing! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

ETA: They smell already too. XD

What type of Euc is that? (I'm assuming you're growing it for your babies)

My hubby mentioned growing some but I wasn't sure what kind was safe and I figured it would take their lifetime to get big enough to do anything with....

The same type you get from eucproducts.com. :D I had Matt toss me in some seeds with my last order (which was in like.. October.. they maybe sat in a drawer in the kitchen for months. LOL).

I love to garden and have tried and failed time after time to use those little disks but they would dry out too quick. Where did you get your seeds?

You can just ask Matt to include some with your eucproducts.com order.

These are in a covered container:

It was only like $4 for it and 10 pellets.

I'll be sure to keep everyone update on if they actually grow or not. The goal is to keep them indoor, potted, and in the glider room. :D

Really!? How big do they get full grown? Or are they the type of tree that can be trimmed up to stay about the size you want it?

Eucs can get HUGE! And I've read they grow FAST. From what I've read they don't do well potted (or at least it isn't suggested), but I'm going to give it a go anyway. :D

If this fails I might go buy one already grown... I'd much rather do this though because then I KNOW it hasn't been treated with ANYTHING.

Here's an update pic!

I uncovered them a bit too early, and the other plant never bounced back. :( It looked like it was going to try for a while... but never did.

I just took the cover off of this one today. He was getting a little too big for it.

That's so cool, how fast do they grow? Do you think seedlings would be sturdy enough to survive a Michigan winter? lol

That I don't know. I'm hoping to keep this one potted, inside, and from what I've read they don't do well indoors... but it can't hurt to try.

I seen all kinds of wild euc when we drove through OR.. and I know it snows there... But Michigan gets DUMPED on, so I dunno. lol

Hmm, maybe I'll have to sit down and have a good chat with Matt before I place my order, see what he thinks. I would love to keep one planted inside, but seeing as I'll be moving into a small apartment... I'm already pushed for space. I'm sure mom and dad wouldn't mind another tree growing in the yard though.

Yeah, glider eat euc. You can order some from eucproducts.com

I uncovered him, and he isn't looking so good now. :( Maybe I just don't have good enough humidity here or something. All of the leaves are starting to curl inward, and I've made sure to keep it watered, and then mist it with water in the evenings.

Oh geeze, I would start setting aside to get a new cage NOW. The PP cage is MUCH too small for gliders to live in.

You can get a mix. The chew sticks that come in the starter pack are on the smaller side. Maybe a foot long.
