When I get my sugar gliders I dont plan on giving them a Eucalyptus plant but can they eat it? Its just a random question that popped into my head and has been bothering me.

As far as I understand it is great treat for them. They can tear up the sticks and eat the leaves and its good for them. I was planning on getting some for mine. Maybe someone else will know more then I do.

Why wouldn't you give eucalyptus?
And yes, they can eat it...it's native to their "homeland."

Just make sure if you purchase a tree or plant it's one of the safe varieties because i believe there are some that are not safe for gliders. If just ordering it get it from Matt....his stuff is very good and 100% safe.

Yes, check with Matt he is at eucproducts.com and sells leaves, branches, chew sticks, thicker branches and mixed packages. check out the website and e-mail with questions. Our gliders love the stuff and their service is great.

I always look forward to JazzNZoeysmom's pics!
Mine didn't care for the starter kit too much (we rinsed off the leaves exactly as instructed) but I'd like to try the tree branch next time. If nothing else, it will give them one more thing to climb. Though I would LOVE to have pictures like these, showing them enjoying their tree-t.
