or if you cant get it out the door what other ways are there to help keep it clean. mine cant fit through the door even if it could i wouldnt want to drag the huge thing outside lol. i built a huge PVC cage and just use a hand held steamer to keep it clean. : ) it does take some work to clean it but my boys only get the best lol XD

I use to take my cages downstairs to clean.......that got to be a little dangerous with the cat weaving around . I just got a tank steamer and now just wheel them out on the patio to clean. I love the large cages but make sure you have a plan of where you will be able to deep clean them,...oh and if they fit through your doorways

it's outside right now but no matter how much we scrub it won;t come clean, not even with vinegar... I am so frustrated and afraid we will peel the powder coating off (it's homemade and if it comes off it will rust)

Maybe spray it down with a vinegar and water solution and let it sit for a while, (respraying periodically) to help loosen the gunk. If we could only train our suggies to clean their own cages,....oh imagine!

We bought the grid cage for the first two suggies at $250 a piece 48 high x 36 wide x 24 depth. I hate it and it looks like its $50 to recoat the dumb thing. First sign of rust and they slide all the want on a bird cage. That's why I spent the extra $ on the grid. I have two of the ebay cages and the poor suggies slide down the bars.

I'd love to find nice size cages that 'hook together'. That would be great.

I'm currently in the process of moving, so I had to transfer my babies to a smaller cage... the one they're in now could fit inside the ebay cage, which was their previous cage. Their temporary one is smaller, but within the limits of size. It's easier to clean, but even though it's within the limits, I still don't like how small it is. I guess I'll have to deal with it until we find some place to stay for a month before our house is finished building.
