If I successfully combine my 2 neutered males & 3 females I want to make a gender neutral cage set. That being said I have been looking for a gender neutral theme & I'm having a hard time...for those who have multiple males & females in one cage, what's your theme?
Right now the males have a fish theme that has lots of pink & purple-but it's sooo cute lol, & the females have pink & puppies theme with some zebra & lime green.
I also have a tye-dye/rainbow one.
:)

I doubt the gliders will care what color their cage sets are. Omi and Kai don't care that their wheel is pink. Still runs the same.

Well, really, just think about what kind of themes you would like. The options are limitless.
You could have:
1) Mexican Restaurant or dessert theme
2) Boys and Girls Nursery
3) Pirate Theme
4) Casino (will be great if you had the Fast Track Treadmill and the kids like using it, especially if you had the sewing skills to make a fleece cover for it that looked like a roulette wheel)
5) Garden Theme (easy with the plastic strawberry you can get at any pet store, plus you can use your flowery stuff here and check out these foraging flowers from Gliders and Gear
6) BlackDrappa/Tiffany had a Greek/Roman theme and I made this for her:
7)This pic would go great for a bakery theme (made for Roxysugarbabies for April Gift Exchange:
8)A Jungle/Tropical Island Theme (get some coconut huts!)
9) Nautical Theme (lots of dolphins, fish..not just rubber ducky-like toys but also check on the bead aisle)
10) Sun, Moon and Stars Theme (JazznZoeysmom has/had a cage set that looked INCREDIBLE for this)
...and the list goes on.
But like Lisa said, gliders really don't care about themes. Just bring the mealies and other treats.

I think it's nice to have a theme, even if we have to pretend the gliders care. I have what I call a "Enchanted Woods" theme, I did call Enchanted Forest before, but I think that was a name of an old theme park her in MD at one time. So I'm going with shades of green & brown, trying to go for the "woods & leafy" look, but do have splashes of colors in some toys such as balls and such. They have one green wheel and an orange one, which one day I'd like to replace with a similar kind in the color green, to be more cohesive, but not ready for that expense just yet. I just bought some dark green and brown fleece to make additional pouches and cage accessories. To complete my theme, I've been considering some branches, but they're not cheap and need to be replace, I just don't know how often.
Anyway, I think the "Forest" theme is a neutral gender theme, and can be fun. I do have photos posted on here somewhere, but have updated it since as well as now working in new project. I will post photos if that turns out ok.

Update: Looking at my local stores (and their websites) & ebay I wasn't able to find anything I liked that is anti-pill. I did find a website called yourfleece.com that has some cute designs. I'm thinking about going with their bandana themed anti-pill fleece and have denim out the outside (like the outside of the pouch. bottom of the bridge)& mixed in with some (like the fringe ladder). Would denim be ok to use or is that a no-no?

You could do like most people who don't know what sex baby they are having and stick to neutral colors such as yellow, green, orange or plaids. Or use Disney themes that are more neutral like Lion King, The emperors new groove (lamas and squirrels), Jungles or forest themes (you can find REALLY pretty backgrounds from fish tanks you can put on the wall behind the cage, Hawaiian theme (Miami vice if you know about that show), Fantasy Island. If you want more ideas just ask :)

Im working on a jungle type theme. Browns and greens except for the toys. Im in the process of making a 3 foot tall tree out of pvc with a tire swing hanging off of it! It will all be covered in fleece naturally. Its going to be cool! I doubt they care but i do. Only the best for them.

Not sure. If denim would be okay on the outside to use or not. It seems to get mixed reviews.

Denim is perfectly safe to use for sewn items. If sewn correctly, it is even more safe than fleece (nails don't get stuck on it). However, you cannot use it on a fleece vine. The edges of denim have to be finished appropriately for it to be safe.
Over the years, I have made so many sets for customers that could be considered gender neutral. I'm currently working on pre made sets that are puppy, dinosaur and bug themed, any of which could be considered gender neutral. So, it really is a matter of your taste and what YOU want. With a good imagination and a firm understanding of what is safe, the sky is the limit!
For a quick review of some safe/not safe items and such, you can read here: http://thesweetspot.forumotion.net/f83-better-safe-than-s...

You might want to theme it because you probably spend as much time looking at their cage as they do. You don't want anything that's gona be an eyesore!
My cage is in a spare bedroom but whether the gliders care or not, I like it looking 'nice'. I've gone for a natural theme, I have branches that have flowered vines weaved around them. I'm quite fussy on the fleece I buy for their cage sets x

While at WM today I actually saw 2 yards of the bandana fleece I wanted to use so I bought it to try it out. I also got some that's blue with tractors on it. :) I plan on taking my sons fisher price barn (hehehe) for a bottom toy & having a farm theme (hey I'm country lol). Idk what else yet, but that's the plan so far.

That would be awesome! Love the farm theme! Or you can do a cowboy theme, too, yeah? Maybe a saloon with the foraging mugs for their "brew". Party City even have little plastic cactus shot "glasses" that you can string up for more cowboy goodness.
Ball pit full of cows and horses. (For both farm theme AND cowboy/western theme.)
You could string up some beads with the letters on it to spell "Saloon".
