ive got smooth rocks with a lil scruff on them and was thinking bout putting it in the gliders cage infront of there water and a red brick under there food dish. any one ver tried this idea to keep there nails down?

also im bleaching them befor i put them in to kill any parasites and bacteria

If you are going to put something like this in the cage I would not put it somewhere and force them to walk on it, like where their food and water dishes are. I have not heard of anyone using this method for nails. Usually we buy a wheel that has trim trax in it for when they run it keeps them short. I understand that they are wild animals and are meant to climb trees and rocks, I would just worry about the pads of their feet getting injured.

I personally wouldn't put rocks in the cage. I'd just use the wheel inserts to trim nails :D

i meant to add this to... i dont plan on leaving the rocks in there at all times just a few days then see if it works check there feet and then wait a week or 2 then do it again.

I know that natural rock helps keep lizards nails smoother/trimmed, and walking your dog on concrete such as sidewalk helps file nails some extending time a little between nail trims. I don't know about gliders though.

Not a good idea. If they are using it enough for it to be effective on their nails, theres no way it isn't rubbing their hands and feet raw.
