<br />How old is nibbler? Do you have lineage on your gliders? If they were rescued gliders without any lineage it is not suggested you breed them. Babies without lineage are very hard to sell and that is just the tiniest reason why we say don't breed without lineage. You can not know how closely the gliders may be related without lineage and an awful lot of joeys being cannibalized is due to the parents being related and causing abnormalities in the babies. I would have argued the other side of this issue until I started taking in rescues who were expecting and so far out of a lot of pregnancies I only have one joey who survived and she only survived because I caught the parents trying to eat her and took her and hand raised her. I want to point out with all these gliders they were pregnant when they came to me before I could get the male fixed. Now with my lineaged carefully planned pairs I have not had any problems with joey cannibalizing. My parents have all done amazing jobs. I really have to believe this is because they were carefully choosen and are not closely related.
There is nothing more horrible than being so excited about baby joeys and finding bits and pieces of them on the cage floor or in the pouch.
