I've been doing about 3 months worth of research and currently saving towards $600 before i begin ordering all the supplies and I've been wondering how long have you had your gliders. I've been going around the forums and I've mostly seen people who only had theirs for about a year or so and im feeling a little discouraged by that.Has anyone really had one for 15 years?

If possibly can you put what diet were you using,.

I've had mine over 5 years. I do know people that have definitely had them 10-12 years.

on what diet? i plan on going with the hpw?

We've only had ours two years. It would have been longer but my daughter never brought it to my attention she wanted some. I've fed them just about every diet. I wouldn't advise such diet changes so often though. Makes for picky eaters.

i feed bml diet with many veggies / fruits always fresh. very minimal treats.

I have 14 gliders now. I got the first two in Sept 2008 so they are almost 4 years old. I have two gliders that came to me as adults that are probably 6 years old now and my youngest joeys are about 8 months old.

I feed my own GliderKid Staple recipe along with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

The woman that I got my boys from has 3 colonies. Her oldest glider just passed away a few months ago, at 20 years of age. (Even she agrees that is longer than most... but the 15 yr mark is no stranger to her when it comes to her babies.
She is frequently consulted for diet and care tips/advice. And rightfully so...
All of her babies are beautiful, happy-go-lucky, fluffy tailed darlings. I've never seen healthier looking suggies, not even in pictures.

I would love to know her secret! Do you know what diet her babies were on?

I have only had mine since December but a lady I talk to (referenced by my vet) has been raising gliders for almost 25 years. I don't know how old her oldest was but I am amazed Everytime I talk to her. I know she has one who is 11 years old because they were in for check ups the same time I was one day

I have a glider who is 14 years old and 4-5 more who are over 10 years old.

One of my good friends has had gliders about 12 or 13 years, so there are people who absolutely do make a commitment to them for very long time.

I've had mine for 5 yrs in may and feed hpw.

I dont know where your located Voiceofthewind but I had a hard time finding bok choy at first, or at least i thought it was near impossible. Once i realized what it looked like (lol) I've been able to find it at every store ( winn dixie, publix walmart) !

i have had nibbler for 6 years and she is 7 and i have had kadi for 4 years and she is 5 years old.
