I am going to pick up my sugar gliders in a little over a week and could not be happier! I am going to get a girl and boy and he will be neutered. (I have no idea what to do if the baby is rejected and am terrified she will eat the baby.) I am going to S&S Exotics in Houston Texas. They told me they would sell me two regular gliders at about 7-8 weeks. I personally think its a little young reading what everyone has said, but how can I tell if they are really that young or if they are a year or even 2 or 3? I know they would be small but they all look small to me. I am worried they will sell me an older one and tell me its younger. Is there a way I can tell I will defiantly ask but they are a pet store and there policy may not be honesty :/

I think they might be a mill. I would search around to verify and buy from elsewhere. I know Lucky Glider Rescue Sanctuary is down in TX somewhere, and David Watkins of My Glider Wheels and More breeds, so you may want to toss one of them a shout too.

wow, if you can't trust them, I wouldn't get any from them. Not trying to be mean, but make sure you trust who you get them from to know what you are getting. There are re-homing options as well. But look around at the photos on here, particularly start a search for photos of joeys or babies, and then do one on adults, you can tell the difference from very young to adult, even close to 1 yr. Mine are about 1 yr, and they look much more mature than the joeys i see in photos on here. You may also be concerned if they sell them too young. Try to get as much info as possible, then talk to them again and sound educated, they will be less likely to try to pull one over. Hopefully they are more reputable than that though and are on the up & up. I don't know anything about them. Just some opinions and suggestions. Good luck!!!

I'd definitely look for a different breeder. Please consider Lucky Glider Rescue. I'm sure they have some very social gliders that would be great for a first time owner.

I have cora babies and they are fantastic! She breeds for good temperment. I believe she has a few rescues she's trying to rehome as well. You may contact her. She's about 4hours from Houston, but i think she travels to Houston every couple of months (which is where i met her to pick up one of my babies). http://angelfish_37.webs.com/
