I think what they mean is when the ears are a little more "drooped" or down a little more than usual... I think I read somewhere that is a sign of a depressed glider?

When a glider is sleeping, their ears are typically folded down like a little lamb. They tend to do this also when they are awake and not feeling well. My gliders ears are never down while they are awake. I think the folded down or "droopy" action while awake would give me pause and make me look deeper.

Agreed it is small signs like that which made me know something was "off" with my little one.

Here is a photo of a glider asleep with droopy ears. Not my photo and since the glider is asleep it's not worrisome but at least it gives you an idea of what it means.
