So long story short I was told from his previous companion that she had rescued him from a breeder that neglected him because he would not breed. I still partially believe this but at the same time, I have made way to many strides with him, not of my accord but on HIS. The other day he was barking and Crabbing for no reason, so I decided to open his cage and see what happened. Granted this is a risk but I have glider proofed my temp bedroom the best I can. And all I can say is, he just needs some attention.
and please note, the cage he has is temporary until Monday when I get paid again, its a bird cage, not what I thought I would get when I received him from a rescuer, But at the same time, at only $100 USD I can't complain, nor can he since putting some toys in it, but at the same time I believe in bigger is better, when I get his new home Monday I will upload more photos.
Also if anyone knows of a breeder with a 2 year old female in the Dayton, Columbus, or Cincinnati Ohio area that they want to part with please let me know, as I def need to get him a Glider companion, I think its wrong that he has lived a life without one!
Anyway without further A due I give you my first suggie son Chase, and so far he couldn't make his Daddy prouder at his progress!

He's a cutie. I think he'll blossom with some love and attention.
Are you planning on breeding him with said 2 yr. old female when/if you find one?

You might consider storing the clothing away from his cage - Your little man appears to be intact and will mark his cage (and anything close to it) until it all smells just the way he likes it! The clothes will smell like "glider" and folks who are not accustomed to the smell sometimes find it offensive.
He is a cute little guy and should have a friend - but please have him neutered before you introduce a female. You will have no way of knowing if the two are related so they should not be allowed to breed.

Hey guys thanks for the comments on how cute he is as I def agree. And yes he is intact, and I am still at odds on whether to have him neutered yet or not.
I am in the process of trying to track down the original breeder, this little guy has passed more hands than I thought, 4 including me so far and hopefully the person I need to contact tonight is the original breeder. so until I find his breeder he won't be bred. and if I do I won't be selling, just adding to the family.
The clothing there are actually there on purpose, they are all dirty laundry that I had in my hamper from the week before getting him, using them to get him accustomed to my smell ( have since changed them out for more used shirts from the past few days)
AND YES! This little guy def craves attention, his favorite treats so far that I have found is meal worms, with a drop of honey on them (which he only gets when I spend time bonding with him.) and when I stop paying attention to him he crawls out of his cage and goes to the top and starts puffing at me until I look up, say his name and acknowledge him, then he runs back into his cage and jumps on his wheel, as if to say "hey dad look what I can do!"
Don't have a bonding pouch for him yet (picking up monday) but since picking him up from his last companion, he will eat from my hand as of sat night, and as of last night I am able to pet him without him freaking out.
Anyway lol thank you guys for all the warm wishes, and advice from those that have PM's me. While I know alot from studying up for a year, I def am wet behind the ears when it comes to experience, so all the advice I've got is much appreciated and for the most part have used all of it in the past week with great success. I hope when i get the bonding pouch things will get even better for me and chase.
Again thank you all and sorry for the wall of text lol

Oh and I left out one answer sorry about that
I am feeding him a 24 hour at all times Pellet from Jack aquarium (it's got great reviews and the ingredients are good) which he can have when ever he needs a snack. other than that I have him on HPW. Also found that he seems to like a taste of lemon in his water, so I add three drops of fresh lemon to his water when I change it. If that is a bad thing let me know, as far as I can tell it's ok for him but I could be wrong. He gets Mealies for treats, which has def made our bonding easier, everyday he gets calmer and calmer with me.
Oh and on the Clothing thing... Everyone that has stopped by my house to see him (funny how friends show up more when you have a glider) they actually like his musk, it's a weird sickly sweet Nectar smell, which to be honest even to me is slightly pleasant. Am I weird for that lol.
Ok enough writing before I make another wall lol
