This may sound like a really stupid question but I need some advice. When I take my new sugar glider out and have tent time or bathroom time with her she likes to get in my hair and move around in my head. And from time to time she will bite my neck or ear and she will never get out of my hair. I tried wearing a hoodie but she freaks out when I do. So I can not get her out anywhere without her doing that. If you guys have any advice about this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you tried wearing it up in a bun or a ponytail? Mine will get in my hair if I leave it down...not so much if I pin it up...which I do cause it's not too fun picking glider poo out of long hair!!!

LOL, my girls will get into my hair and sometimes bite my head when hair is down. If I clip it up they still play with it and climb all over it, I find a pony knot works the best, but they will still play with it. They also climb on my husbands head (hair clipped real short) and lick, sometimes nibble. I think they're just grooming us though.

Jazz, what's worse is when they pee & poo in the hair, ewwe it's gross, lol.

I have very short hair and they seem uninterested. However my friend came over and she had long hair and they went nuts. They went to the back base of her neck and just started running their front legs and face through it. It was like she was their favorite new toy. Maybe just let them do it and get it out of their system and after a while they'll just "restyle your doo" every once in a while. I'm a bit jealous that mine don't do it to me.....My hair could use some glider lovin too.

Have you tried using a head-scarf? My hair hangs down just past my shoulders. It's not super long, but my gliders used to LOVE to play in before I started putting a scarf on my head.

They will still jump on top of my head every once and a while, but they jump off quickly afterwards. They really aren't feeling the whole "scarf thing", but I've found that it keeps them out of my hair.

I would sugggest that you put one on when handling them if this is a problem for you. I think that they won't be as fascinated with your head, or your hair if you do. Good luck

Yes, I also suggest putting your hair up. I just cut mine short, and they still like to play with it and there was some major grooming going on the other night. Once they get started grooming, it is hard for me to get them to stop! I should take it as a great compliment though, the grooming means they are accepting you as one of the gang!

My babies really love to play with my hair, too. But I keep it tied up.
