Granite State Gliders is the name of the breeders store.. Although its not really not a store because they are only open by appointment (really small )its in New Hampshire and they call new Hampshire Granite State, hence the name Granite State Gliders..

I recently relocated to Florida from New Hampshire. I had never heard of Granite State Gliders before recently. Probably a good thing though. I've been guilty of impulse buys far too many times for that to have been a good move on my part. I am very glad that I waited until I got here to get my boys. I don't think the move would have been good for them. Where in NH are they located?

They are a small breeding place, and they are located in Plaistow....

I'll have to check them out next time I go up for a visit. I mostly spent my time up there between Bedford and Nashua. Who would have thought there would have been a breeder up there so close? I guess I ruled out the possibility because of how much I disliked the cold winters myself. (Hence the move back to my native state FL.) How do the gliders seem to do with the colder weather? I'd imagine you'd have a hard time ever taking them out with you.

Actually, I have not gotten my sugar gliders yet..I am getting them in August, since for most of the summer I am actually heading up to Flordia to visit my family... Im only 14 so I do still have to save up my money and get things sorted out at home before they come home... Plus she has a really long waiting list...I think I am the 11th one on the waiting list right now..

That's a heck of a waiting list. But I still think it is awesome that she is willing to meet with you to get acquainted and is being so helpful - especially since you have not gotten one yet. Sounds like a reputable thing to do for a breeder. (And you don't find that everywhere you look.) :)

Yeah I am so happy that I found this place..Once she has sugar gliders ready for me, she said she will email me and then I have to go down to the store to tell her if I want them or not, then while they are getting older I am able to see them whenever I would like to before they come home with me :)

That is how it should be done. Try to remember that they are smart little buggers... and they will remember how you treated them before they came home. So if you are super playful with them because they are too young to really 'crab' at you for moving around too quickly, they will probably end up skittish when you take them home. If you are sweet and cuddly with them before you take them home... they will likely return the favor and bond to you faster than the latter. (In my experience anyway. lol)

:)I was #1 on that wait list lol..my little boys come home in about 3 weeks.
It is a very small breeder, but growing. I cannot say enough good things about them really, I met Tina last fall when I first learned about gliders and she has been nothing but helpful and informative. She is just as concerned that the gliders go to a good home as I was about being a responsible owner. Anyone in the area can't go wrong with GSG
