So for about 3days i have noticed a new sound coming from my gliders. My boyfriend stays up late with them most nights and he says the sound has been happening since they were introduced (it's been about a week), though it's new for me to hear.

It's that tsst-tsst noise. Mostly in short bursts, but done repeatedly. That noise was made for at least 2 - 3 hours last night. I watched them play and didnt see fighting or really much of anything that looked like anything other than normal play. Theyre sleeping in the pouch right now and every once and a while ill hear that noise again.- just a burst then no more noises for quite some time.
The boy is bigger and 15weeks OOP. He's been neutered for a week now (neutered right before we got our female). The girl is 11weeks oop and smaller.Day 2 of introductions they seemed to take to eachother - lots of grooming and chirping. They sleep all day together in the pouch without problem. The only "aggressive" thing i see is my male likes to take food out of my females hands. She's so docile, she just lets him without making a sound.
They make this sound a lot! Not just in the pouch, but in the cage. My boyfriend says theyve been on opposite sides of the cage and he's heard that noise. Ive only witnessed them together making the noise.
Day 3 of them being cage together i noticed my males stuff looks "swollen" so i freaked out but i sent a photo to my breeder and she said he looked healthy and what im seeing must have left over testosterone - he just looked "excited" -  I guess i have a lot to learn about glider anatomy  I havent witnessed that "swelling" since that day.
I dont know whether this noise is okay or not. Neither of them appear to be overgrooming. If they are fighting they dont appear to be harming each other, just making noise. Can anyone identify it so i can determine if i need to separate them or not?

They should be fine. When they do this i call it "bickering"...to me it sounds like they get into little arguments and then get over it. My gliders will do this a few times a week, i think they just get irritated with each other and have a little tussle. Its normal to me so i wouldnt be alarmed. Now, if they were balling up in a fight then id separate them. Balling up isnt a good thing, its usually experienced during intros but im sure it could happen at any time. If its something that is going on all night, they are probably mating. Even neutered males will try to mate when the female is in heat. When my gliders mate it is very loud and sometimes an all night affair. But this is all normal, just check for wounds. If wounds are discovered then separate before it gets worse.

I guess my concern is that they make this noise almost every night and in spurts for hours at a time. Either they really love each other or they really can't stand each other. It's the latter i am afraid of. So far no wounds or over grooming. If it is indeed mating, i didn't realize it is a week long ordeal for them
