Babygurl, if you do mean outside, that is not safe. Why dont you take your gliders in a tent or a glider proofed bathroom? ~Erica~ StellaAnLuna Fuzzy Wuzzy 1063 Posts Outside?? You only take them out of the cage and play with them for half an hour, or less? shadow Goofy Gorillatoes MO, USA 2332 Posts
quote:
I WANTED A WHEEL TOOO sobs. but i cant get it now.have to wait for few months. dont know why. dad~ sigh..

see if your dad will let you do chores around the house or if someone in the neighborhood will let you do some yard work. all you have to do is earn $1 a day to get a wheel in a month. remember you are your glider's parent and she is depending on you to provide for her basic needs (cage,toys,wheel,vet/health care,a proper diet) i know its hard to get them things when you dont have income. i dont have a job either. mom used to give me some money here and there when she had more babysitting kids but they are all in school now. right now i just help with my niece and her dog for free and do other stuff and my parents help with their food. i saved every bit of money i get and put it toward the gliders vet care or their other needs. i also take advantage of any time i get gifts (birthdays, Christmas)and get things for the gliders. its been a long time since i ever bought anything i want or used to buy for myself lol but thats ok. my boys have a stealth wheel, a huge PVC cage($200 paid for it myself parents bought me a nice metal cage for x-mas but i decided to upgrade after a year), cage sets, toys(i got some of their toys from yard sales and thrift stores only cost me a few dollars)and my steam cleaner.i wish i could buy them more but i have to save the money for stuff i really do need to get them. so it can be done you just have to put some effort into it. im sure your parents would be happy to see you working so hard to afford what your glider needs. if you need any advice just ask or you can PM me ^_^ Kelly Thompson banned by Eric NC, USA 417 Posts Absoutley no outside time for gliders, unless they are in the safety zone of a zippered bonding pouch. Where you got that idea is beyond me, gliders should never be outdoors "running around" there are far to many hazards: other animals, birds, sharp objects, trees to climb into, and pesticides that are sprayed that can harm your glider. Also you said you wash her feet off after wards and she gets a bit wet? thats a deff. no also, gliders do not need to be bathed, if they are healthy they will clean themselves and do so often... take the advice of everyone and save up to buy your glider a wheel, for now just take her out in your bedroom for a few hours each night. Make sure you glider proof your room, watch Ed's (LuckyGlider) youtube video on glider proofing and keep a watchful eye. Right now you are just asking for trouble and for your glider to either get sick, hurt, killed, or lost...
