I've been very nervous about neutering. They will be away overnight. It's the best thing to do, but this is not reassuring.

Best wishes!

It is a good idea to have e-collars on stand by and know how to put them on properly ahead of time. Kyro provided a link above with a glider emergency kit. Gliders do SM and as said already we do not know which ones will and which ones wont. Many here have had no problems having their males neutered.

You can, but I do not have one and he has been unable to take the e-collar off once we secured it more the second time.

UPDATE:

Today I have placed Gizmo in the cage with the other two. They are grooming him, rubbing theirs heads against him (despite the fact that they are neutered I can only assume it is natural) There were only a few tufts at first between Gadget and him..Mainly Gadget biting his tail and crabbing. But that was the first few minutes. Now they are all wondering around the cage angry that mom woke them up ad dumped them out of their pouch. I have a picture of all of them in the wheel together! I hope they will settle in for the rest of the day here in a few minutes.. OH! And Gizmo has learned how to maneuver past objects by twisting the e-collar with his front feet to get around them!! He is soo smart!^.^

Edit:

Gimmick is on the left, Gizmo obviously has the e-collar on and You can see a white belly on the right side of the wheel which is Gadget!

I did want to point out that Gizmo's fur is not the best because of everything that he is going through. I am looking forward to him being as smooth and silky as his adopted brothers..but holy cow that picture makes Gimmick's fur look beautiful!!

How's his incision looking today? How long are you gonna have to keep the e-collar on?

The incision still looks the same as yesterday. Still bruised, no discharge, and no swelling. The E-collar is going to stay on until this Sunday when I am off all day and can monitor how he does once it comes off.

Good. I know it can be tricky with these little guys...as the wound heals I'm sure it begins to itch so I know you want to get past that point so he doesn't re-open it.

Still wishing you guys the best...keep us posted.
