My sugars babies came out of pouch last night.. I just got up & found them :) they are in the pouch BUT the mom & dad are both out away from the babies. Does this mean she has rejected them?? Im going to take the pouch out & put a little basket with fleece in so I'm able to keep an eye on them! I do have a Joey rejection kit & have read suz website.

Just read Suz website it said they are left 10-15 mins by theirselves. But they are only a few hours old isn't that too long.

Is this their first joey? also make sure that the pouch or basket isnt too high in the cage incase the joey falls out. I put fleece on the bottom of the cage just to be safe when my joeys arrived. How old is the mother? if shes too young she might be at a higher risk to reject the joey. If you notice they leave the Joey for more than 10 mins than i would suggest trying to put them back in the pouch with the joey and keep trying that and if it doesnt work than youll have to prepare yourself for the rejection.

When the joey crys, does the mom and dad run back right away to check on the joey?

Are they nursing? You should be able to see a white spot(milk in their tummies) on their belly if its full of milk.

Are the joeys still warm?

Like Erica said, does mom or dad return right away if they cry?

I hung a hammock under their pouch just in case - it was advised to me to NOT leave fleece on the floor of the cage in case the joey were to snuggle up under it and then they'd definitely end up too cold by themselves. Even newly OOP joeys are very strong at holding on if they're healthy so falling is a risk if they're weak/not being fed.

Sorry everyone I think I was just worried & in shock lol haha this is her first set & she had two. When I went back to check they were in the pouch with them. So I'm sure she is nursing now. They are both 2 & have done get with the pregnancy so far. The joeys have no cried yet so I don't know if she runs to them. We will be putting the cage in our room today. They did have their own room but I want to be able to check & hear the baby in the middle of the night if it needs something. I'm so worried about rejection but she's doing great. I have another question my Suggie aren't closely bonded to me. They will crawl on me & let me pet them stick my hand in the cage exc. but they will not let me pick them up without biting. So do you think if I held the Joey long enough to tell sex & take a picture they would reject them?

Follow what it says on Suzs site about holding the joeys - it should be very small increments in front of both parents.

If your gliders have always slept in a pouch, I would NOT switch them to an open basket even with lots of fleece blankies. If momma is not comfortable with the new sleeping space that could be stressful for her.

Thanks for the advice. I noticed she didn't like it so I just put a pouch on the bottom. They are use to it.

No, she should not reject them just for you handling them, but you should only handle them when dad is baby sitting or the parents allow you to watch them(sometimes the parents will bring the babies to the "human" so they can go have some fun). You don't want to stress them or the joeys out by taking them away - make sure to stay in sight and start with very short periods of time.
