I don't know about pillbugs. I don't know much about what bugs they can eat, actually, but I wanted to add two questions to this thread. Can they eat moths? Moths sneak in my house a lot, and this morning I found one shredded at the bottom of Luna's cage. Also, (according to my roommate) he's seen one or two tiny cockroaches in the house late at night (my house is clean; they are just EVERYWHERE in Texas). What if one of those gets in her cage and the same thing happens? I worry about any bugs I don't buy. What have they been eating? What if they ate something poisonous that could harm Luna?

I wouldn't advise feeding pill bugs you haven't purchased, as they could be contaminated with pesticides, etc.
I am sure that if your Luna were to accidentally eat a cockroach or some other insect that wandered into her cage, she will be alright, as long as it isn't happening regularly. Even if the insect ate something poisonous to gliders, the amount would likely be so small by the time it entered Luna's system that it would have no effect on her. You can try getting some fine netting and draping it around the cage to keep the bugs out perhaps?

Thanks Harpy. I've also thought about making some kind of fleece thing to cover the cage at night. My roommate likes to keep the apartment at icy temperatures while sleeping. If I'm cold (and I'm much bigger than she is and sleep under a big fluffy blanket, she must get chilly. I bet that would also keep out bugs.

Yes, they can eat moths. Roaches,...I know you can buy Dubia roaches for them. A regular house roach I'm sure they can eat, my only worry would be if you have sprayed for roaches, or your neighbor has and the roaches made there way to your house.
Roach sprays are made to kill slowly...the roach takes the bait back to the nest so they too eat it and it kills the ones in the nest as well. So while they may eat a live roach...it could have the slow acting poison in it's system...

I don't like pesticides. I never spray. The only chemicals I use in the house are rubbing alcohol, dish soap, and antibacterial cleaner spray to clean counters and things. Oh, and I use the wet Swiffer things to mop. But I live in an apartment, and I'm not sure what my neighbors do and don't use in their homes.
So, I guess keep an eye on her (her poop has been fine since then, and she hasn't been acting weird or eating/sleeping/peeing differently), and get on the ball about finding something to cover her cage at night, just in case a roach smells her food and decides to go investigate?
