I was wondering, when I bring my guys home..what is the best way to make them feel at home and start bonding with the family? They are both boys that are over a year old..so any advice? I don't want to freak them out too much or anything.

It's typically suggested to let them settle in for a day or two. After that I'd try offering them treats through the bars and see how they do with that. If they do okay.. then try offering treats inside of the cage.

Just do small steps like that a gauge their reactions. If they've been handled and are friendly I think you'll have a much easier time. :)

I agree with everything fox0r said. You might also want to put your scent all over the cage before they come home to it. Maybe wear a scrap of fleece under your clothes all day and then stick it in their sleeping pouch. Or get really sweaty and smelly in a shirt and then put the shirt on top of their cage. That way you can let them settle in and not bother them for a day or two, but they can be getting used to your scent at the same time.

I'm sure you guys will bond in no time. You should post some pictures once you have them. :]
