My two boys got neutered today and I just have a couple questions about post-neuter care. 1) is it alright for me to hold them in a pouch when I take them home before they wake up for the night or should I leave them alone? 2) should they be kept separate from each other or is it alright to keep them together if they since they will be constantly supervised all night? I'm just wondering because one boy, Trick, seems to rely on my other one, Trooper, for comfort and support. He gets upset when they are separated.

sorry if either of these questions seems silly. I just want to do whats best for them.

I would ask your vet these questions. Did they do pom on or off?

They should be less apt to SM with a pom on, but they need careful watching. I generally put them back with their colony and just watch to make sure that no one is bothering the neuter.

thank you. They are asleep on my lap right now and so far so good. Now begins a long night haha. What should the area look like post-neuter when they are NOT SM? Is a small amount of crusted blood ok?
