I need suggestions on what sugar gliders like to play with, my two only get free roam on the weekends because I go to bed at 8 pm and get up at 4:30 am to walk the dogs and care for my other pets (2 cats, 2 ferrets). I do take time to bond with them each night by hand feeding them meal worms and playing with them inside their cage. They get out of the cage Friday night, saturday & sunday morning (yes, I get up before the dawn to give them time to run and get some exercise before the sun rises). Any suggestions would help.
P.S. They have a wheel in their cage that they don`t have any interest in.
Thanks

My 2 girls don't really seem to play with anything, well they do run in the wheel, and run & jump all over the place when inside or outside their cage. Other than that, it's mostly eating or looking for food to eat, & going potty, lol. They do like to explore and check out new things, but if they don't find a treat, they loose interest very quickly.
But there are a lot of people who have many cool toys that their gliders may play with. Make sure there is nothing that can be harmful to the glider, and you should be ok.

I have a coconut forage toy I got from Exotic Nutrition recently that Luna loves. She was never big on chewing things until I got that toy. Now she attempts to tear it to shreds nightly. I also like to hang things around her cage that she can (and does) tear down at night. I know gliders also really like to chew on eucalyptus.

I have that too mine love it! Just gets stinky.. Someone recommended getting them a fresh coconut and let them go at it.
I hang the monkeys from a barrel around the cage at night, they like to chew them and knock them down. Get feathers to play with them. There are some great cage setups if you look at the more exp glider owners pictures to get in cage toy ideas. What kind of wheel do you have?

Thank you all for your suggestions, the wheel is one made especially for sugar gliders so that their tail doesn't get caught in it. When you say coconut, do you mean a real coconut that we humans eat or something else?

I think they mean foraging toys where there's a ball that you can put treats in that hangs from a fleece rope (Make sure it isn't anything that they can get stuck in like regular rope) and your sugar gliders can try and get the treat out. Since I suck at describing things, here's a link that shows what one looks like: http://www.suzsugargliders.com/happyglidertoys.htm or you could just google search "sugar glider forage toys" and it'll show a ton of results, that's what I did to get the link ;)

My boys love plastic cat balls with bells in them and toddler toys..I have the colourful rings you link together and a stuffed baseball that crinkles when grabbed. They sit on the chain I made with the links & crinkle the baseball all day. After they eat they play soccer with the cat ball. :) So cute..Wish I could get pictures, but my phone won't get pics in dim light.
