Can't find it anywhere else so I figured I'd ask...

I've got "fresh" (as they can be this far inland) scallops that I was thinking about boiling up and giving to the girls as a little treat for being so amazing during the evacuation..which reminds me I need to write a post about that..

Anyways...

Can anyone think of a reason these can't be given as an extra super special treat?

Nope, just don't boil them in a bunch of salt & butter.

Mine LOVE shrimp but won't touch any other kind of seafood... if you give them some let me know if they like 'em....I haven't tried scallops yet.

they will probably love it! mine like shrimp too, so much that they will scream at each other to protect theirs. they also like white fish and salmon. like jazznjoeysmom says, just boil or broil them plain, no spices. sometimes i boil mine in applejuice or orange juice.
