I'd like for you all to meet my new baby girl, Gypsy, she's 8 weeks OOP. Gypsy's story (it may not seem like it but this is a short version, sorry its still a bit long): Gypsy came to live with me when she turned 4 weeks OOP. When I put a deposit on her when she was 2 weeks OOP there was an agreement, of course, for her to come home at 8 weeks OOP. The deposit was put down the day before I left for our NC/VA road trip. The day after I got back home I went to visit her and paid off the balance for her, she was 3 weeks OOP, I went to see her every other day for a week. When she turned 4 weeks OOP, which was my last day to go visit her, what happened was unbelievable. As soon as I got there the lady was rude to me, she was 'stand-offish', her entire demeanor was totally different than it had been before. Me and the lady went back and forth after she said "your girl is ready to go home" and me freaking out and saying "i dont think so, what are you talking about, this was NOT the agreement, she is too young and small". And after standing there for 15 minutes in an argumentative atmosphere i was watching her and after what she told me from her own mouth i saw what she was doing with my girl.. she was pulling her from the mother and feeding her baby food sweet potatoes & yogurt and keeping her in a tiny pouch in her fanny pack, she was so dirty and smelly, she refused my money back by saying "if you dont take her you wont get the money back because its you refusing her not me refusing to give her to you"... just a lot more crap that she said and she was doing i turned to her and said "just give me my girl now" and i brought her home, knew i would have to treat her as a rejected joey. when i got home i was on a mission, i was all over every forum, every suggie site and every FB group reading and reading and reading. I did not post on any forum, FB group or on my personal FB that I had Gypsy because I felt my focus needed to be on her and not possible drama, judging or a hoard of questioning. And not that i knew everything or even much, I knew I could get help from wonderful people if and when i needed it. I got Gypsy to the vet the day after she came home and she came back clean of everything. I mainly used Suz's rejected joey site/information and i started to follow a suggie veteran here on GG and also her posts on helping someone else on one of the FB group pages. I did it on my own, taking care of Gypsy and stuff for 2 weeks until she was 6 weeks OOP and then decided to personally contact this wonderful lady here and on FB, Chris R. I showed her my spreadsheet of all the info on daily weights, feeding schedule and what i was feeding and doing with Gypsy. She was pretty impressed, i think, with how well i was doing and how well Gypsy was doing. i showed her pics of Gypsy from the day i got her and then progression pics during our 2 week journey. She said Gypsy looked great. so for the past 2 weeks now I have been mentored/guided by her and Gypsy is doing so well. It was decided when she was 6 & 1/2 weeks OOP to intro Gypsy to Willow as Gypsy kept crying so much and it was breaking my heart. Even though I knew Willow was ok from all her initial testing and retesting after i got her and I knew what i would have to do with more testing and retesting if i did put them together before getting Gypsy retested after 30 days but i couldnt stand how sad Gypsy was and all her crying all the time without her mommy & daddy and how Willow kept barking for her when she would hear her crying, so they both have a vet appointment this thursday. The intros went great, they love each other like crazy, yes Willow almost licked the color off Gypsy the first couple of days out of excitement and happiness but I kept a close eye on it to make sure neither got hurt. Thank you Chris, you will never know how much i appreciate you!! Where we are now: we are now down to pulling Gypsy only 2 times a day for feedings of 3/4 joey BML and 1/4 milk replacer. she drinks from the water bottle, she is eating a little from the food dish every night, she plays with toys and she is already running in the wheel on her own, not just doing 360's with Willow leading LOL she pees and poops on her own and they are normal in appearance. She still cries a little but not near how she use to be. Today she tried for the first time the guts of a mealie worm and she was rather confused but seemed to love licking the guts though of course didnt eat the actual worm. She loves to snuggle in my shirt, as well as Willow. Bathroom play time is pretty funny with 2 of them now (will be getting a tent in the next 2 weeks). Gypsy was 22 grams when she came home and she is now 52 grams & 8 weeks OOP. Willow is now 77 grams & 20 weeks OOP A few pics: Gypsy at 2 weeks old when I first reserved her:

She's 68g as of now, but was 60g when I took her to the vet two weeks ago. He told me she should be between 90 to 120 by the 6 month mark, and told me to put her back on a milk main diet with fruits and veggies. I am looking now for a bigger cage and another baby girl as a companion fon Stella. I live in Japan, and when I asked for a second one at the place where I got her, they told they could order it from Thai, like a piece of furniture... I am now looking for a breeder in Japan. Enjoy your adorable baby. jadesmith1979 Glider FL, USA 196 Posts They look beautiful and i bet even though she was crying she knew in her heart she had to be in a better place :) you did such a good job to her seen as how she was so young and tiny! very beautiful Sugar babies.. paziano01 Joey 45 Posts Well Jeremy, that is what I'm trying to figuere out, trust the vet or not...
