If you want to talk about minimum, they honestly would probably do fine in the same min dimensions as 2. I'm certain they would be much happier in something slightly larger, however. Maybe at least another foot of height? As long as they have enough space to spread out and have some "personal room" should they wish, you should be fine.

My three were cramped in the F040 prevue hendryx. The F050 XL cage was not yet available when I purchased the first cage.
It would be a good size for 3 even if you can only get one cage. ;)

I connected two F050's and love(them and me) all the room they have now!

There was a lot of chasing, crabbing, hissing and tail pulling between my two girls in the smaller cage.

Like TigerLily said, the absolute minimum could be a cage for two gliders (32" x 20" x 36")

A more comfortable size would be anything bigger than that. Here are some cages that you can look at as a reference when trying to find one. Maybe try to give another foot or so in the dimensions.

So I know that Minnesota Zoo mentioned this cage before:

www.wayfair.com/Prevue-Hendryx-Extra-Large-Wrought-Iron-Flight-Bird-Cage-F050-PVP1176.html

Does anyone think it would be a bad cage for 3? If no one can say "no" than I think it will be my cage!

Ok, what about this one?

Obviously the extra large one would be better but would the large one also work?

the second one looks great, it's a little more expensive, but worth it for the doors. they swing open and have a lock, easy to put things in and out especially the wheel. those doors that slide up are horrible, they are usually smaller and they also keep slamming down on your arm when you reach in the cage. i had one like that, just about pitched it thru the window after a few weeks.

that last one has that little roof on it, probably does not have anything to hang your cage sets and toys from the top, maybe someone else knows the answer to that question?

If you want to order from exotic nutrition the Madagascar or Brisbane cages are better than the one with a solid roof and tiny doors.

It would the minimum size for 3

They have a larger cage called the Congo that is big enough for 5 or 6 gliders

So would I eventually have to get a bigger cage? I'm trying to stay in the $100-$210 range so I wouldn't really want to get the congo cage.

If you were looking at the Extra large Prevue hendryx flight cage F050 is is on sale at www.wayfair.com for $184.00, free 2 day shipping and I didn't have to pay any sales tax(may depend on where you live)

here is the link for it.
www.wayfair.com/Prevue-Hendryx-Extra-Large-Wrought-Iron-Flight-Bird-Cage-F050-PVP1176.html

It has the same size doors as some you were looking at. they are swing out doors with a secure locking pin...not a lock. I had to get my raptor wheel in thru the bottom but otherwise have had no issues.

Make sure you read some of the posts on homemade cages so that you don't make some of the mistakes made by others that lead to escape and I believe even a death in one instance. Mostly has to do with using enough zip ties. But better to learn from someone else's mistakes than repeat them yourself!

Wait! What was the website that you used for directions on how to make it? Also, I have a link to make a PVC cage. Does that mean it will have PVC coating? Isn't that bad for gliders?? Here's the link:

www.justforfuzzies.com/Other_Stuff/Cage/index.html

And just to make sure, that WILL be good for three right?
I can't thank you enough!! :)

Yes that is the website! And it will be big enough for three gliders for sure! And PVC coating is different from actual PVC. PVC coating is a mixtures of chemicals coated on a metal cage to keep the color, etc. You want to wipe down/wash the PVC from dirtiness from the store but other than that it will be good.
