First off I want to say a huge thank you to all of you for helping me with my boys. I have been through so much with them. We rescued the first one finally got him a friend and they hated each other. Got them neutered which was one of the scariest and most exhausting things ever. We moved which was so stressful with them but i can FINALLY say that we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Four days ago we reintroduced my boys and they officially adore each other. They sleep in the same pouch and follow each other everywhere. It was such a proud moment for us, through all the scratches, bites, tears and worry I can finally say I feel comfortable that they aren't lonely and are very happy. Which leads me to my question about noise. My boyfriend is a musician and shares a music/glider room with my boys, around 10 every few nights he has to practice (usually singing and guitar). Do you think this bothers my gliders? they never seem to mind it but I am just wondering if noise stresses them out? Thanks again for everyone's help! I love you guys

If your gliders are used to the music it should not be a problem for them unless he has an amp turned up very loud, not usually necessary for practice.

My gliders do not seem to object to my playing and singing in the evenings and they do not wake up when I practice during the day. I usually practice in the next room but I am only about 6 feet from the first cage.

The glider may however remain hiding in their pouches if the lights are on in their room so he can read the music. My gliders will not come out if the lights are on in the room. The are not bothered by the light from my laptop or a small TV.

I have actually copied most of my music to PDF format and have it on an Ipad (saves shuffling many sheets of paper) and I can read those quite well in low light.

My gliders hate music. My neighbors have parties often, and it scares the crap out of them. We didn't really notice how uncomfortable they were until we moved the cages into a quieter environment. You might keep a close eye on them, just to make sure they aren't getting too stressed. I wouldn't play too loud with them in the room.

Mine love to watch TV with me. Their cage is behind the couch and I'll be watching something and glance over my shoulder and see one or two peeking out at the TV.

I think the real concern is just the noise/light level. Like Candy said, if he's not playing full volume (since it is practice) hopefully they will be OK. I also like the idea of putting the sheet music on a tablet-that must really cut down on the light issues.

My house is usually loud(not everyday) with baby screaming....dogs barking....tv LOUD so I hear it over everything!!!! My guys are use to it....I can have em in my bra and I can be yelling, they don't budge..!!!!!... Yours are just getting use to things so I would slowly over the next couple months introduce them to loud constant sounds (like guitar) starting low and working your way up.... Good luck..... Not too loud.... I haven't had my neighbors complain yet and hope I never get that loud here in my zoo!
