You have a couple options
1. When they bite you make pssst sound like their parents would and that should deter them. Kinda like saying "Cut that out!"
2. You can blow on the back of their neck when they bite (they hate that)
3. You can just take the bite and show them that it isn't going to make you go away

You can also limit the amount of skin they come into contact with. For the first few weeks I pulled sweatshirt sleeves over my hands to pick them up, or just one of their fleece blankies.

But remember that you will get bitten more. You are a giant to them and they are just trying to protect themselves.

If your baby is licking you first, maybe it likes the smell of your skin--your soap or lotion. It could also be grooming you, which is a sign that your baby likes you.

or if you use "licky" treats like yogurt or honey and let her lick it off of you...I would stop that a.s.a.p.

But is it biting or is it teeth scrapping?

Mine have done the lick, lick lick...sscraaappppe!!! OUCH!!! but they were just "grooming" me...lol!

I'm not putting any soap or lotion. And, I think mine is biting, it loves to eat. According to other topics I've read,IT IS NOT GROOMING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I think the psst is working quite well ( if said loud enough. Mine is still a baby) Is it true you can massage its chin???

One of my girls "bites" but it is kind of funny because when I offer her treats by hand it's like she misses the treat(on purpose)and manages to get a little nip in occasionally. Not a hard bite or chomping down...it's not aggressive at all...just tasting my finger maybe to see if it's a tastier treat.

My other 2 are very carefully taikng treats and have never nipped me.

I have read where some gliders go thru a "terrible twos" episodes like toddlers and test everything...maybe she's testing you(?)

One of my gliders did that too! He would bite everything before he would explore on it, but that stopped after he bit it once to test it. I still don't let them near my fingers because it is the only thing they will bite, but I don't really know how to get him to stop it since I never let him near my fingers to test it out!!

Sorry I can't answer your question, I was wondering the same thing you are!!
