I bought a bunch of fleece yesterday. But someone told me plaid is soft and just as good. They said its better since its so hott here. My question/concern is....is it safe for my babies???? I love how much cheaper it was too!!! I looked at it and I'm wondering if their little nails will get caught???

Plaid is actually a color/pattern not a fabric. I'm guessing you are talking about cotton flannel or something like that. If that is the case, it's a woven fabric so it would be unsafe.

Exactly what I was going to say. Stick with the fleece.

Are you talking about flannel vs fleece?

Flannel is safe, just make sur there are no threads coming out where tou cut. You can use fleece in the summer too, it would be nice for your suggies to have more open places to sleep though.

For example, in preperation for summer I made this:

My two girls fit with room to spare and it is open so if it is hot they will stay cool.

Yea, I would look up open environment cage sets if you are worried about heat. And flannel is a good alternative

We always have the air on 71 but sometimes it's so hot the air conditioner says the house is 78/79/80

Oh that's not bad! If you are comfortable then they are. Make sure they always have water available...but they should be fine!

I tried to take the fleece blanket out of their pouch because I thought with four gliders snuggled in there it had to be hot. Glitch popped up, grabbed a corner and dragged it back in.

I about fell down laughing. I did extend the sides a bit to make it more of an open pouch, just to get more air in there.

Seriously, she cracks me up. She looked so offended that I would be taking the blanket away.
