I'm converting my glider from the "ppp" diet to the hpw. Do I need to introduce it slowly or can I completely start tonight?

The Glider Gravy is HPW mix so you don't need to go slowly unless you have a joey. How old is your glider?

Assuming the info they gave us was right, I've owned him about eight weeks so at least four months old. He is small compared to his companion but he eats more then her so idk what that means. I been following what ppp has been telling me to do but I don't want to because it isn't fresh ingredients and he rejects the pellets. So currently, I feed him ten pellets (which he never eats), an apple every night (small slice), bread every two too three, and spinach. I don't like the diet and I like the hpw, and like you said that glide gravey is the hpw complete (which is why I am switching to it). Beyond that, I'm new to this so do I still need to take the switching slow?

It's okay to switch you little guy over to full HPW, maybe still offer the same pellets if you do for a while if you want. But you don't need to.

You can go ahead and switch over with no problems.

Pellets are not good for a main part of a glider diet, but are okay as snack to keep in their cage (and clean their teeth). I personally buy Suncoasts Wholesome Balance pellets because one of my gliders like them. PPP pellets are not very healthy because their main ingredients are soy and fillers. So when they eat up the PPP pellets I would encourage you to look at other options

It is the same as HPW so you can serve it the same way. Blend it up and freeze it to an ice cream consistency. Then you can just scoop it into their bowl and immediately serve. They can lick it up while frozen then slurp it up when it melts haha

I switched my girl to HPW as soon as we brought her home. She loved all of the new foods we gave her.

Okay, I guess I am confused on something. Is the glider gravy, or HP W mix, Still require the honey and eggs and all that stuff or is it just add water and done?

Original HPW mix is when you blender egg, honey, wombaroo powder, bee pollen and water in the blender.
Instant HPW is when you add water to a powder mixture.

I believe that The mix from Pocket Pets is an instant form. They should have given you directions with the mix. Does it say to just add water?

Ya just add water, freeze it, and serve it as ice cubes.

With HPW Complete you will need to freeze the mixture in ice cube trays. It will freeze hard and cannot be scooped out of a larger container as you can with Original HPW.

You need to offer a wide variety of fruits and vegetables with the HPW Complete as well.

I would not offer any bread. It is very high in phosphorus and does not add much nutritionally for gliders.

You can put the frozen HPW Complete in the cage a little before your gliders usually wake up, it melts quickly so the gliders can lap it up when they get ready to eat.

Another option is to mix only enough HPW Complete for a few days at a time. You can store it in the refrigerator after mixing for 4 or 5 days.

If you make a full batch it will need to be frozen though.
