During the day (right now actually, it's 4:30 here) I put my gliders in a bonding pouch and sometimes they'll go to sleep and not move. But some days (like today) they won't sit still. What can I do to make them calm down? Is this normal?

Does your bonding pouch have a screen?

I have found that my one pair will move around if they get too warm. With it being mid spring and summer just around the corner, you may want a cooler bonding pouch or one with a screen.

They may be too warm in the enclosed bonding pouch. Does your pouch have a screen window for adequate ventilation?

What are YOU doing while wearing the bonding pouch? My gliders do not care to be in the pouch when I am up and moving around but are OK if I am sitting still watching TV or working on the computer.

They may also need to come out to potty, or get a drink of water.

Some gliders just do not like the confined space of a bonding pouch.

I'm sitting on the couch right now on my iPad on GG. They have settled down now, but sometimes they won't settle down for 30-45 minutes.

Also, do I have to wait until they are awake for playtime?

You can get the up before they usually wake up to take them into a tent or gliderproof bathroom to play.

You may have to roll their sleeping pouch down to get them to come out at first until they get used to the routine. I usually have to sit on their pouch once I get mine out so they do not hop back in and go back to sleep.

You may also want to let them get some good solid undisturbed sleep during the morning and early afternoon before you carry them in the bonding pouch. If they are not sleeping soundly when you carry them, they are likely to be less interested in playing when you get them up for play time.
