I figured I'd start this as a new thread...
I have a glider, Raes, that pulled his stitches twice after neuter. He's now been separated from his family (female mate and 2 male babies that are 9 weeks oop) for 2 weeks. They've had playtime together, but been in separate cages otherwise. My question is this:

When he's finally healed (at least 1 more week, maybe more) is it ok to put him right back in with his family or do I need to do introductions as if he's a new glider? Thanks for your help!!

Are they acting ok during play-time? If they have still been seeing each other in the mean-time, they will more than likely be ok. Start out with tent or bathroom time and see how it goes, then just keep an eye on them.

Yes, they act extremely happy to see each other during play time. Raes and Ro (his mate) rub themselves all over each other and usually retreat to a corner where I have to strain to see them to be sure she's not grooming his incision area. Raes sniffs his boys all over and grooms them before going to Ro. It's so cute, but heartbreaking at the same time.

Aww, poor kiddos. Sounds like they should be fine to go back together when it's time though.

I know. It makes me so sad! Thanks. I really hoped that was the case. Of course, I'm willing to do full intros, but the just hate being apart so much I hoped I wouldn't have to.
