I have had a male sugar glider since nov 2012. He has never been around any other sugar gliders before. We finally got him some cage mates on Sunday. We adopted two girl gliders that are around 2 years old ( he is about 1) at first introduction he was so excited and couldn't wait to meet the new girls. One of the girls has half a tail, we think she was born that way doesn't seem to be from an accident. And she loves to bite! Anyways for the most part they seem sweet other than the rough biteing to the point of bleeding. They have all slept in the bondin pouch together for two days now and seem fine in the pouch together, I am concerned on when it is okay to keep them all together in the cage. Right now they get along but sometimes my male glider wants to groom them for too long and they start making ugly noises at each other and we have had a few small scuffles between them but nothing serious. When will be a good point to keep them in the same cage? My male seems to get depressed when I put him in his separate cage at night next to the girls.

Well normally you would quarantine the new gliders for 30 days before putting them in with your existing male. The reason is that the new ones need to go to the vet and be checked for parasites. If they find parasites then they will need to be treated. They need to be re-tested in 30 days to be sure they are parasite free at which time you could begin introductions. Since you have already introduced them I suggest that you get all 3 in and have them all tested and treated if necessary. You could probably put them all in the cage together now if you can keep an eye on them for the first night or two. Please get them all into the vet though for testing!

Agreed, no point in keeping them separate now. Just let them all be together, they'll be happier that way. They'll let each other know when enough-is-enough grooming.

You need to get them to a vet for some testing to make sure they don't have parasites.

Good Luck

Hopefully your male is neutered?
If not, I would wait til you have him neutered before putting them together. You don't want them to mate if you don't have the lineage on them. They could easily be related.
