While we were at the vet with the girls last Saturday, I showed him how Tilly is over-grooming a spot on the back of Tosca's neck. He took a look at it and confirmed it was over-grooming - that the skin is not broken and looks good. I asked if there was something like Bitter Apple for suggies and he said no - BUT I could put some Adolph's Meat Tenderizer with some warm water in a small squirt bottle and spray it on Tosca's neck - let it dry and then put Tilly back with her. He said it is a natural deterrent and suggies dont like the taste or smell. First think I thought was poor Tosca - having to wear something she thinks is stinky - but if it gets Tilly to stop grooming that spot, then I guess its worth a try.
Anyone heard of this before???? Anyone tried it????
I've never heard of that before. If you try it, make sure you get the correct brand, as the ingredients in these things can vary. And on the topic of ingredients, what is in Adolph's Meat Tenderizer?
