I got Gypsy yesterday. She's a bit of a crab apple but, I must practice what I preach about patience. Her cage is in'the man-cave'... my sons room. I knocked on his door to see her this morning and he looked like death warmed over due to little sleep. Apparently she ran all night and when she wasn't running, she was barking. I'll have to get pics up but she's kind of hiding out here and there in her cage.

Aww... I am reciting the 'practice what you preach' mantra to myself daily. My newest baby, Zeus - is not nearly as calm or cuddly as Aristotle was/is. He is very crabby a lot of the time and getting pouch protective on top of it all. I'm sure my expectation that I would luck out and he would take to me as quickly as Ari did, was naively optimistic. We're coming along though... one day at a time. <sigh>

Patience, yup, it's been just over 2 months we had my girls and one is still crabby and will still lunge and bite, but it is less frequent with more "nicer" behavior in between. She is still very pouch protective though, and doesn't always like me messing around in their habitat when she's trying to sleep, lol, can't really blame her there. I've been taking the pouch they'r sleeping in and holding it on my lap for a while during the day when I can, but I don't know if it's helping or making her more protective in guarding their pouch, If I wake her while either cleaning, changing out fleece & toys or trying to get their pouch out to hold she will come out to "get me". But most of the time (but not always) when she is up and out of pouch, or when out of habitat she is a little more sweeter.

She's a little over a year LGRS. She was on HPW I took her to the vet last month. Gotta do a fecal pretty quick here and off to the quarantine.
