I am selling a pair of gliders to someone that can not touch apples, they are allergic to them. This issue came up when I sent her the BML diet. I think I am going to recommend HPW diet but I want to make sure that she has an alternative for feeding apples. Can someone help with this issue? Thanks

HPW is one of the more lienient diets concerning f/v that can be fed. She doesn't have to use apples....any other fruit will suffice.
Heck, mine won't touch apples anymore.

I agree with JazzNZoeysmom! HPW is not so strict. With that I just give Rue whatever fruits and veggies we have in our house. Blueberries, cantaloupe, mangos, papayas, spinach, green peppers, carrots, strawberries, pears, black berries, and whatever else.
That's why I enjoy HPW. It's simple and healthy. (:

Yup, agreed with both of them. Hpw is a you-can-give-anything diet. 1TBSP each for fruits and vege that's it.
JNZmum~ mine too. they stopped eating apples and pears :3 guess they are bored with it lol.

All diets allow for more than just apples to be fed - she will need to be cautious that her diet mix itself doesn't incorporate apples in any form(juice, applesauce, apples, etc.) which probably leaves HPW as the best option :) There are fruit & veggies relishes(set mixtures that provide the proper ca:ph ratios) or if she is sure to offer a variety incorporating some of the higher calcium foods, she should be good!
Just so its out there, BML allows more than just apples to be fed - it allows for a variety of melons(watermelon, cantaloupe, etc.), berries, grapes as well as apples (but it does use apple juice in the mix, so I understand her avoiding it).
