Okay, we are nearing our intro here in a week or so and I have noticed Gypsy marks her cage. Kai marks his. Well, both boys do. Any suggestions on what to do once all are in one big cage marking it up like a bunch of taggers with cans of spray paint?

Nope, not really. When you end up putting them all in together, the cage needs to be neutral and not smell like either of them. This will inevitably lead to re-marking initially.
I suppose if you swap cages several times(put gypsy in the boys' cage and the boys in gypsy's cage), it would have both of their scents on it, but I feel its less risky to just clean it and then deal with the stink storm for a day or so

OMG Sara. Too funny. Stink storm? It'll be worth it I guess to have everyone in one cage though. I'm very afraid they'll hurt her though. Or she will hurt them too. She's never seen another glider before.
quote:
Nope, not really. Make sure you do them one on one - don't overwhelm her with two gliders. I always do intros in the bathtub as its completely neutral and harder for them to climb out of. I would recommend scent swapping too for a week after her second round of fecals come back - you can use fleece blankies or swap pouches and even swap gliders/cages the last day or two.
If the first boy and Gypsy go well, leave them together for at least a couple days, then try her one on one with the other boy - after that they should be good to go all together. (This means a couple stink storms though...sorry :P)

That does make scents (Lol). I mean sense. Why shouldn't we scent swap before intros? What would we look for in the swapping? I don't know. Crabbing? Last time I had the boys in the tub, I had released 35 tiny crickets for them to catch and eat and all they did was jump on us. Needless to say I had to catch every cricket and put it back into the container.

You should scent swap before intros, just not before quarantine is up because if on the second round of fecals they show a parasite or something, you have just cross-contaminated them and essentially defeated the purpose of quarantine and would have to treat them all.
When you scent swap, sometimes they're really curious about it, rub themselves on it, etc. If they pick it up and throw it out of the pouch or crab at it, they're probably not quite ready.
Generally gliders really don't like tubs - the surface is hard to grab onto, but that is why it works great for intros. They can focus on just wanting to cuddle up in a pouch and go back to sleep!
