No, usually no symptoms. It is highly recommended to go to a glider knowledgable vet after you get you glider/s and yearly for a fecal, float, and smear, and SNAP test.

Well I will say that USUALLY there are no symptoms, but if they have had worms for a long time they can start getting dehydrated, lose their appetite, get some diahrreah(sp?).
If you are questioning, I'd get them to the vet. If you have a regular vet, for your other animals, you can most likely just collect a fecal sample from the cage and take it to him/her and have them run a fecal....any vet can do that,(but I'd call to make sure) but if the results are positive I'm not sure if your regular vet will prescribe medicine since it goes by weight.... most vets would want to check them out, weigh them ect. and your regular vet probably won't opt to do that for you.

I think once a year is the norm.
I have ended up going every few months cuz I get new babies & of course they have to go and when I take them, I also take a communal fecal from my existing cage just to be checked. Once I'm all done getting new babies I'll be down to once a year unless issues arrive.

I'm sorry, I just read this thread and have a question. What's a SNAP test? Luna and I just went to the vet yesterday, and we got a fecal float and smear, but I didn't know to ask for a SNAP test? What's that?
Thanks!

A SNAP test is a different kind of fecal test that is used to find giardia.
