OMG I had them out in the bathroom and I was playing with them and i had all the drains closed and toilet closed and all that good stuff but my friend stopped over and i left them in the bathroom with the door shut so they could play...well my friend was borrowing my truck and we had the door cracked so we could hear the kids while we were outside and now I can't find her... I feel so sad i just bought them a new cage and everything...he was still in the bathroom but I can't find her I've checked all around the house and she is no where to be found....

Do you mean you left the door to outside open?

If not, dont sit anywhere without checking seat cushions, dont throw out any trash, dont do any laundry, check all pockets on your clothes, coats and jackets. Check all purses and shoes. Check in the food pantry in all boxes or anything open. Dont step on anything without checking it first. Check DVD players - computers, behond furniture. She is more than likely sleeping somewhere right now - so you may have to wait until this evening. Turn all bright lights off and listen for her. Make certian there is a sleeping pouch with their scent on it somewhere that she can get to - along with something wit a wonderful smell for her to eat.

Make sure there is no standing water anywhere. Close all toilet lids. close all drains in the kitchen and all bathrooms. Make certain all doors to the outside and to the garage stay closed.

Please keep us informed. Remember, many gliders HAVE been found safe and sound.

did u let her play in the bathroom at night or during the day because if it was daytime its prob.. hiding and it will come out at night.. if it was at night try putting food in different spots around the house and that should give u a clue as to where its hiding.. hope u find it soon ,,gd luck..

Yea the outside door was open while she was in the bathroom with that door closed....I have treats out on the counter and the extra pouch out...I'm looking everywhere and I have all the lights off in the house but there is a lot of natural light that gets in the house so I'm really really hoping that when it gets dark tonight if I still haven't found her. I will hear her and she will come out....I'm just really scared that she escaped outside but I don't think that she would go out there in the middle of the day with it being so bright...ahhhhh poor thing....

You'd be surprised. Three of my five gliders don't mind the sun. This doesn't mean they enjoy it. They just don't mind it.

They love the fresh air though.

I think Rita covered all of it really. I 'lost' one of my girls once (long story, really) and found her in the laundry basket. Lil bugger.

All I can say is good luck, and let's hope that this will only be a scary learning experience, and not a fateful one.

This happened to me twice before. I had bought a new cage and they said the bar spacings were small enough that a glider wouldnt be able to fit through (boy were they wrong) I wake up to my mom screaming, "DID YOU LOSE SOMETHING" apparently he had gotten out and climbed into bed with my mom. Another time I had let him play in my room, door shut glider proof (no worries) and I could not find him anywhere, I searched from head to toe except for the closet. Of course he was in the closet sleeping in the hood of my jacket. I'm sure she'll turn up, im sorry to hear it though. Keep your head up!

I FOUND HER!!!!! So when I was searching the bathroom I checked the front and back of the shower curtain and I she wasn't there so I flipped it up...well a friend came over and we were looking for her and my friend asked if she was in the shower curtain and I told her that I checked it earlier and then flipped it up so I knew she wasn't in there and she wouldn't get in there and while I was saying this I flipped the curtain down and there she was!!! She scared the * out of me because it was the one place I didn't expect her to be!! I was so happy!!! So she is safe!!! I don't think she ever even left the bathroom silly me....Thank you all so much for your support!!!!!

That's wonderful news!!! Gliders can get in the strangest of places. One lady posted she found her glider in the pantry sound asleep in a box of crackers. It appears he had himself a nice little snack and then went to sleep.

you know i wish they would double line pouches ... i'll have to make some myself but i swear the sun goes right through the pouches.

Pouches should be made of fleece. Sun shouldn't be getting in through the fleece, but a lot of bonding pouches are made with two layers of fleece. But again, mine enjoy the sun, so I'm not concerned with mine.

Hmmm... Maybe look for double layered. That's all that I have, unless I choose to make them myself.

How'd she get away from you?

I only take mine out in the tent or the bathroom.
