I'm new to this...I knew the cage they had was way too small...so I bought this one off of someone and it has stuff in it and I put stuff in it... Here are a few pics...does this seem ok anything you all think I should do differently? There is also a pouch in there I just took it out for a min to take pics!

Thank you!

I put the pic in my album thats the only way I could figure it out...

I'm not a fan of cages that small, but it's most certainly ok.

More toys are always a plus. :)

Careful with using a towel on the back as well. Their nails can get caught. Do you perhaps have an old sheet you can use?

Wel that cage is about 3 times bigger than the one I got them in....and I really didn't like that....I'm going to do some of the no sew pouches and ropes and I wanna get a bigger wheel for sure the smaller cage had a bigger wheel...ironic....I'm thinking about making a bigger cage eventually I just don't have the space or time right now with my husband deployed...any suggestions on making things and toys they love? I don't mind making things...

Make sure to either get a Stealth Wheel or a Wodent Wheel. Those are the only two suggie safe wheels, though I suggest the Stealth over the Wodent.

You can find links to both sites that sell these here: http://glidergeek.weebly.com/important-links.html

As far as toys, there isn't much you can MAKE per se, but there are things you can combine to make neat toys.

My gliders love monkeys in a barrel, army men, mardi gras beads hanging from the top of the cage, cat balls with a bell inside (be sure it's cat nip free), bird toys, etc.

You can also take a plastic container and put Easter eggs or whiffle balls inside, leaving treats in the container or even inside the eggs, not closing the eggs completely, and they go to town. It's like a treasure hunt.

Hit up the dollar store. Check out what's there. Think in terms of what's safe. Can they chew pieces off? Anything at all harmful? That's what I do when I go shopping for them.

Good luck.

Meg,
Wheel wise, there is also the Custom Cruiser that is suggie safe. It's Bourbon's wheel.. I have one, and it's definitely nice, and safe. It's just a very BIG wheel, due to how the "works" on it are.

This is the website but it seems to be down right now..

Just presenting another option.

What you have there is an acceptable starter cage for sugar gliders. You can consider upgrading it in the future by purchasing a matching budget cage and then hooking them together for twice the internal room.

They look similar, but they're a lot different in how they work. Especially with the full bounce option.
