To those with older gliders: Do they calm down/slow down as they get older (Like other animals)?

I always see posts about people that have gliders that will sit with them on the couch or watch TV or just hang out on them while they are awake. But when Lulu and Echo are awake they will not have that. Echo is the social one but she doesn't really hang out on me, but she jumps on and off of me constantly. If I sit on the couch next to the cage she goes back in her cage and plays

During tent time Lulu prefers to cling to the top of the tent while Echo jumps everywhere like a crazy girl.

I'm just wondering if they will calm down and hang out with me more as they get older?

I'm not sure. But. I have a one year old that will just chill on my shoulder. Unless everyone else is up and she wants to run around the house...but she can chill for hours!!

I don't think they really slow down with age. My friend has a glider who is 9 year old and still behaves exactly how she did when I first met her 5 years ago. And my 5 year old doesn't act differently from how she did when she was 6 months old. Some gliders just enjoy being active and jumping around while others like to cuddle. That's why tent time is so good because you can spend time with your gliders and they'll jump around and have their fun. Then when they get tired, it's common that they'll come cuddle up with their human.

My vet said that older gliders will lose a little dexterity in their hips as they get older. This will cause them to move differently and be a little more cautious when they play. So that is slowing down, I guess.
