I have never seen that before. I don't know a bunch about biting but I suggest you take your baby to the vet NOW

That looks bad, as in, infected. Your glider probably needs medication. You need to get your baby to a vet.

Please take your glider to the vet asap. That almost looks necrotic which is very bad. How long has it been like this? Do you live in the US?

Eeek, that looks necrotic. That poor glider needs the vet now, only medicine will help now.

If you haven't already start housing these gliders separate to keep the other glider from cleaning it or it happening again.

Here is a normal looking wound without infection:

I was gonna ask if you have bott flies.....ewwwwww
I would suggest getting some vetricyn spray on the bite site, speeds healing and is non-toxic for the gliders (works wonders on us hoomans too LOL)

Wow. I would have never thought of bot flies. How'd they get in you house?

Vetericyn is great stuff. It's main ingredient is water. They make an eye solution that has a gel consistency. It would likely be easier to apply, but I don't know if it's made of the same stuff. You can find vetericyn at Co-op or Tractor Supply. I don't think they have it at our Walmart but they may at yours. It's not cheap though. It does work miracles so is worth the money!

Biting: Where are they biting you? If they are biting your hands, wear gloves. Face=ski-mask

They will learn that biting doesn't affect you and they will stop trying. What are you doing when they bite you?

As far as running away, about 15-30 min before they wake up, carry their pouch or nesting box that they're
Sleeping in to a tent or bathroom ( make sure toilet and all drains are closed) and just sit there. Maybe play on your phone, ipad, laptop, ect.

Eventually, they will come out and explore. Then curiosity will ensue and they'll come see what you are. Just act like you don't even know they're there. Eventually, they'll learn you won't harm them and will become you best friend.

You should still consider going to the vet as he/she may prescribe antibiotics for a week or so and may want to debride the wound.

Please keep your gliders separated now at least until the wound is completely healed and all the fur grows back. If you put them together before this, the other one may chew on the wound and make it worse.
