i read some where that it was okay to give gliders cuddlefish bones. is it really okay. in case some one doesn't know, they give cuddlefish bones to birds for there beaks. i guess it keeps there beaks trim. and i know that some people feed there gliders fish. i have some but don't want to give it to them if it's bad. let me know. thank you
it's made from a cuddlefish. cuttlefish are soft-bodied marine cephalopods. its the actual bones from the cuddlefish. they are very soft, so they shouldn't pose a choking hazard. and its a good source of calcium. they are natural with no chemicals or any thing added to them.
I could be wrong but i always presumed that these contained alot of salt. I thought that this fish was in salt water and that the cuttlefish bone given to birds is salty. I have never licked it and cannot find what trace eliments are in the bone so don't really know. Like Rita I would say no till you find out more.
so i can use it as long as i soak and rinse until the salt is gone? i would like to give it to them, just for something different, but i want to make sure that i am understanding correctly?
