I am a new owner and although my girl seems to be doing well with what she is eating, I was wondering what would be the easiest diet to add, where I can still use what I am feeding her.

Right now I am feeding her about 50% protein and 25% each fruit and veggies. I add rep-cal with vit d, no phosphorous (I think that's what it's called)about 3 times a week. My girl gets egg, chicken, yogurt and/or cottage cheese for her protein, plus a mealie a day and a yogurt treat a day.

I don't want to take her off of her foods because she loves to eat everything, except asparagus! My girl is not picky at all so far.

So back to the main question, what would be the easiest and best diet to give her that goes with what she already eats? I appreciate any ideas and suggestions you all have.

Thanks!
Donna

Thought I should add some of her fruits and veggies She does not get all of these each night. I do a couple a night and switch.
small amount of corn and peas
green beans
sweet potato
carrot
cucumber
squash
zuchini
papaya
mango
strawberries
apple
pear

I am going tomorrow to get her some greens and she has a dry food that I give a little bit of each night.

Hi Donna,
I'm not sure anything really fits your criteria. The "diets" most people promote are generally very rigid with no room for variety, which I personally disagree with. Of course, what you feed your animals is entirely up to you at the end of the day.

Your diet sounds perfect. It shows you did your research...I don't know about the rel cal....I believe members have said that is not good....I don't give vits or Cal...to much can also harm..I do give gliderade which has alot of the "good stuff" that they need and love...ie bee pollen..honey

But sounds like you have it down pat....

Thanks Eric and Roz! I will be looking for gliderade now. I am just so happy that my girl likes so many different foods and I hope that when I get my boy next week, he'll eat like she does. We finally came up with a name for the two babies, Nutter and Butter.
